Tool Box supports BART, Caltrain, Muni, VTA, and almost all bus agencies in Bay Area. Just say a word, Siri will tell you the next departures.
Apple Watch app
The fastest way to browse through all 48 BART stations (or Muni or Caltrain or VTA) is through the Digital Crown on your watch. The stations are organized alphabetically, know the first letter of your station and confidently scroll through it.
Within a second, upcoming departures of your BART train starts to show up. Car number, crowded level (based on historic data), if bike is allowed, if a train is delayed and how long, which platform the train is going to arrive at. All the information is pulled from Barts server, so it is authoritative and accurate. Same goes to the buses from Muni/VTA/ACTransit or more. You can enter the stop ID (usually printed on the bus stop) to add a stop as one of your favorites through Digital Crown, there you can see real time predications for the buses too.
You can plan a trip too by just utilizing the second picker to choose your destination. The ticket price, depart/arrival time, transfer time, and even the CO2 emissions you help save by taking public transit are displayed.
When theres a major service disruption, you can surely expect the service advisory will be presented so youre never confused or misguided.
You can even use the app on your watch with cellular without a paired iPhone.
